The faster 10 Gigabit uplink capability allows you to make high bandwidth links to Network Attached Storage, Servers and other switches, to help reduce the risk of bottlenecks occurring within your network. The SFP+ ports provide compatibility with your choice of SFP / SFP+ modules (not included) and therefore the most appropriate medium for your application.
